| You can trek all year round in Nepal depending upon the are you are going. However, the popular trekking seasons are autumn (September-November) and spring (February-May). It is very pleasant to trek around this time in the year because it is neither too cold nor too hot in most of the places. During winter, the passes at high altitudes are snow covered and it is very cold. However elevation upto 3000 meters are normally snow free. It is not very wise to trek during monsoon because the trails will be slippery and it is no fun if you have to walk for hours in the rain. Nevertheless, you can trek in places like Mustang, Upper Manang and Dolpo. These places are out of reach of the clouds and they are not affected by monsoon. |
